Julie Smith is the manager for engagement for Purdue Convocations. She currently serves as a Board Member for Tricia’s Hope and has spent more than 25 years in non-profit fundraising in Indiana, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. Some organizations Julie has worked for/volunteered for include: The Tippecanoe County Historical Association; Tippecanoe Arts Federation; Komen Race for the Cure; Theatre on the Square; American Cancer Society; Purdue School of Nursing, University of Rochester, American Heart Association; JDRF; CARE Walk to support Breast Cancer Survivors; and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

“I’ve had the pleasure to get to know Tricia in the last two years, first as a fellow mom of a grade schooler and then as a friend. Her loving nature and deep care of people around her always impressed me and when I learned about Tricia’s Hope, I just knew I needed to be a part of such an amazing, caring organization. While I am not a survivor, a few of my close friends and family are, and I’ve lost a number of my nearest and dearest to cancer as well. Because of that, I am honored to serve as a board member of Tricia’s Hope.”
